Springtime in Wyoming

Well, the wedding is over and there is nothing like a potent winter storm to get me back blogging again.  Walda packed quite a punch for us.  The last few years we have had snowstorms that only dumped a few inches at a time (I call it being nickeled and dimed.)  We received about a foot of snow out of this one (with three foot drifts.)  I heard that we are only about 8 inches below our average to date with snowfall.  I can’t tell you how happy this makes me because of the severe drought we are in.  Anyway, here are a few pictures from winter storm Walda from my perspective here in the Casper area.

We received about a foot of snow.

Drifts as high as 27" and still snowing.

I knew it was a good idea to keep my son home from school. (Yes, there was school. No snow days here.)

Guess I won't be using these chairs for awhile.

In case you can't tell...these are lounge chairs.

Poor chickens are all cooped up. Snow more than half way up on a 6' privacy fence.

Apparently, this is just the beginning of a week full of snow chances.  Good thing I haven’t put away my snow shovel yet.  🙂
